Proud and Honored to Serve ourChurch & Community
Q: What is this Ministry?
A: This is the Macedonia Baptist Church ministry that provides a food Pantry that distributes food in partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank.
Q: Why is this ministry so important to Macedonia?
A: According to Macedonia’s mission statement we are to, “Minister to the hurts and hopes of the community and congregation through fellowship and relationship.”
Q: What does it do?
A: This Ministry feeds the hungry in our church and community by providing 25 to 30 pound boxes of food to needy families on the second Tuesday of each month.
Q: How does it do this?
A: The Ministry receives over 3,000 pounds of drinks, meats, dry goods, and vegetables from The San Antonio Food Bank monthly. The food is then boxed up in 25 to 30 pound boxes by volunteer workers and distributed to needy families here at Macedonia on the second Tuesday of each month.
Q: How many volunteers does the Ministry have?
A: Not enough! As Jesus said to his disciples in Matthew 9:37, “The harvest is truly plentiful, but the laborers are few.” You don’t have to be a member of Macedonia to serve in this ministry.
Does GOD want YOU to be part of this ministry?
